3 YEARS PLAN OF ACTIVITIES
- To hold Executive Committee Meetings on regular basis (atleast once in 2 months).
- To facilitate and assist Ship’s Agents in dealing with various authorities and bodies concerned with Ports and Shipping, collectively in the broader interest of efficiency, understanding, co-operation and mutual benefits. Members’ concerns and suggestion to be gauged through formal and informal meetings/communications.
- The Executive Committee to hold meetings, interact, assist and play an active part to give its input and solve members problems with following public and private entities:
- Ministry of Ports & Shipping (MOPS)
- Karachi Port Trust (KPT)
- Port Qasim Authority (PQA)
- Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)
- Karachi Dock Labour Board (KDLB)
- Pakistan Stevedores’ Conference (PSC)
- Federal Investigation Agency (Seaport)
- Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA)
- Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association (PIFFA)
- Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT)
- Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT)
- Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT)
- Directorate of Dock Workers Safety (DDWS)
- Mercantile Marine Department (MMD)
- State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)
- Trade Development of Pakistan (TDAP)
- The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI)
- The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI)
- To approach individual Ship’s Agents who are not yet members of the Association and invite them for membership in order to increase the membership and bring non-members into fold thus enhancing unity and harmonization of best practice in the industry.
- The Executive Committee to especially focus on Gwadar Port and interact with members and Gwadar Port Authority and PSA Gwadar in order to make its utilization to the maximum in the national interest by encouraging Ship’s Agents to use Gwadar Port and to sort out teething problems, guide them, etc.
